Entire Alabama Football Team Declares for the Draft Mid-Season

In an unprecedented and chaotic turn of events, the entire Alabama Crimson Tide football team has declared for the NFL Draft in the middle of the season, leaving the program scrambling to find players to finish the schedule. This shocking mass exodus has left fans, analysts, and even Alabama’s coaching staff completely blindsided.

The decision was announced via a joint statement from the team, in which the players expressed their frustration with the rigorous demands of college football, the lack of direct financial compensation compared to the NFL, and their desire to “get paid now.” Star quarterback Jalen Milroe was among those leading the charge, stating, “We’ve given everything to this program, and it’s time we start looking out for ourselves. If we stay, we risk injury, and we’re already playing at an NFL level, so why wait?”

The mass declaration has left Alabama’s coaching staff in absolute panic. With every starter gone, the team is now left with only walk-ons, backups who had no intention of seeing the field this season, and a few student managers who were reportedly offered emergency roster spots. Head coach Kalen DeBoer, still in his first year at the program, was visibly distraught when addressing the media, saying, “I thought I was taking over the best program in college football. Now I have to figure out how to beat LSU with a group of guys who were planning on sitting in the stands last week.”

The NCAA has yet to rule on whether Alabama will be allowed to forfeit its remaining games, but sources within the program say the school is considering drastic measures to field a team. Some reports suggest that Alabama is reaching out to former players, offering them temporary eligibility to return for a few games. Others claim that the university is in talks with the intramural flag football champion squad to see if they are up for the challenge.

Fan reaction has been overwhelmingly negative, with Alabama supporters taking to social media to express their outrage. Many are calling this “the darkest day in Crimson Tide history,” while others are simply in disbelief that this could happen at a powerhouse program. Some even speculate that rival teams like Georgia and LSU had a hand in orchestrating this exodus, although no evidence supports those claims.

Meanwhile, NFL scouts are scrambling to evaluate a record number of mid-season draft declarations. Teams are unsure how to proceed, as there has never been a situation where an entire roster becomes eligible at once. One anonymous NFL general manager was quoted saying, “This is a logistical nightmare. We weren’t expecting to have a full Alabama draft class available in October. We don’t even know how to scout them all in time.”

With Alabama essentially left without a team, their upcoming game against Tennessee has been labeled a “glorified scrimmage.” Tennessee fans, never missing an opportunity to revel in Alabama’s misery, have already started printing T-shirts that say, “We sent Alabama to the NFL.”

As for the players, they seem confident that they made the right decision. When asked if he had any regrets, one departing Alabama linebacker simply replied, “See you on Sundays.”
