Defensive end prospect Keysaun Eleazer from Raleigh visited Virginia Tech over the weekend

Three-star defensive end Keysaun Eleazer, a standout from Southeast Raleigh High School in North Carolina, recently recounted his official visit to Virginia Tech, describing the experience as filled with “great vibes.” The 6-foot-6, 205-pound edge rusher has been on the radar of several top collegiate programs, and his trip to Blacksburg has further intensified interest in his recruitment journey.

Eleazer’s visit to Virginia Tech on June 20th was part of a series of official visits scheduled with prominent programs, including Georgia Tech (May 30th), Penn State (June 5th), and Ohio State (June 13th). These visits underscore his strategic approach to evaluating the best fit for his athletic and academic aspirations. During his time in Blacksburg, Eleazer engaged with the coaching staff, toured the facilities, and gained insights into the Hokies’ football program and campus life.

Ranked as the No. 415 player nationally and the No. 32 edge rusher by the 247Sports Composite, Eleazer’s athleticism and potential have garnered attention. His junior year statistics are impressive, boasting 81 tackles, 21 tackles-for-loss, and 3.5 sacks. These numbers reflect his disruptive presence on the field and his ability to impact the game significantly.

The Hokies have been proactive in their 2026 recruiting efforts, already securing commitments from notable prospects. Among them is four-star wide receiver Carnell Warren, who chose Virginia Tech over offers from Duke, Wake Forest, and Georgia Tech during the Under Armour All-American Bowl. Warren’s commitment highlights the program’s appeal to top-tier talent and sets a positive precedent for recruits like Eleazer considering Virginia Tech.

Virginia Tech’s emphasis on building strong relationships with high school athletes is evident in their recruitment strategy. The coaching staff’s approach focuses on understanding each recruit’s individual goals and demonstrating how the program can support their development both on and off the field. This personalized attention resonates with recruits seeking a program that values their unique aspirations.

Eleazer’s recruitment remains open as he continues to evaluate his options. His upcoming visits to other programs will provide additional perspectives, but his positive experience at Virginia Tech positions the Hokies as strong contenders in his decision-making process. The combination of a supportive coaching staff, impressive facilities, and a clear vision for player development makes Virginia Tech an attractive destination for Eleazer and other top recruits.

As the 2026 recruiting cycle progresses, Eleazer’s decision will be closely watched by analysts and fans alike. His blend of size, athleticism, and on-field production makes him a valuable asset to any collegiate program. Virginia Tech’s ability to leave a lasting impression during his visit speaks to the program’s commitment to excellence and its pursuit of top defensive talent.

In conclusion, Keysaun Eleazer’s recap of his Virginia Tech visit reflects a positive and engaging experience that could influence his collegiate choice. The Hokies’ dedicated recruitment efforts and the program’s overall appeal have positioned them as a compelling option for Eleazer as he moves closer to making his commitment.
