In a high-energy display of elite football talent, Nebraska quarterback commit Trae Taylor and top tight end target Ahmad Hudson led Team Raw to victory at the first-ever Battle at the Boneyard 7-on-7 tournament.

The event, hosted at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, Nebraska, brought together some of the best high school prospects in the country, giving coaches and fans a front-row seat to the future of college football.

Trae Taylor, a rising star from the class of 2027, showed why Nebraska made an early move to lock him in as their quarterback of the future. The four-star signal-caller showcased impressive poise, quick decision-making, and pinpoint accuracy. Taylor consistently hit receivers in stride and thrived under pressure, guiding his team through the field with confidence and composure well beyond his years.

One of Taylor’s top targets throughout the tournament was none other than Ahmad Hudson, the nation’s number one ranked tight end in the 2027 class. Hudson was a constant mismatch for defenders—too fast for linebackers and too strong for defensive backs. He ran crisp routes, made contested catches, and used his athleticism to turn short gains into big plays. His chemistry with Taylor was evident, and the duo’s connection was a major reason Team Raw walked away with the championship.

Hudson remains uncommitted, but his performance in Lincoln did not go unnoticed by Nebraska’s coaching staff. He is one of the Huskers’ top recruiting priorities, and the on-field bond between him and Taylor adds an intriguing element to the recruiting pitch. The chance to reunite with Taylor at the college level could play a major role in Hudson’s ultimate decision.

The Battle at the Boneyard was more than just a tournament—it was a showcase of the culture Nebraska is building under head coach Matt Rhule. Rhule and his staff were hands-on throughout the event, observing drills, talking with families, and reinforcing their commitment to recruiting top-tier talent with character and work ethic. Events like this are part of Nebraska’s larger strategy to become a player-focused, development-driven program that attracts high-caliber athletes from around the country.

Team Raw’s victory was a product of excellent preparation, chemistry, and execution. While Taylor and Hudson were the standouts, the entire roster played with intensity and unity. Their performance set the tone for what could become a summer tradition in Lincoln—a proving ground for the next wave of football stars.

For Nebraska fans, the event offered a glimpse into the potential future of the program. With Trae Taylor already committed and Ahmad Hudson firmly on the radar, the Huskers have reason to be excited about what’s ahead. The Battle at the Boneyard didn’t just crown a winner—it reinforced that Nebraska is once again becoming a destination for elite talent.
