Florida State Women’s Golf Continues Dominance On and Off the Course
Florida State’s women’s golf program just added another major title to its collection—but this one came from the classroom.
Junior standout Lottie Woad, the No. 1 ranked amateur women’s golfer in the world, has been named the 2025 ACC Women’s Golf Scholar Athlete of the Year, further solidifying her status as one of the most accomplished student-athletes in Seminole history.
Woad becomes just the second Seminole to ever earn the Scholar Athlete of the Year honor, joining Amelia Williamson, who received the prestigious award in 2022. The recognition caps off an extraordinary year for Woad, who also earned First-Team All-American honors from both the WGCA and Golfweek, while maintaining a stellar 3.75 GPA.
She wasn’t alone in academic excellence. Woad was joined by Sophia Fullbrook, Alexandra Gazzoli, Mirabel Ting, and Kaylah Williams on the 2025 All-ACC Academic Women’s Golf Team, marking the 11th consecutive season that multiple Seminoles have earned a spot on the prestigious list.
The 2025 squad made school history in more ways than one. FSU recorded a team GPA of 3.785 during the spring semester and captured seven team championships, including the ACC Championship and the NCAA Lexington Regional. The Seminoles finished an impressive third in the nation at the NCAA Division I Championship Finals.
Among the five honorees, freshman Alexandra Gazzoli shined brightest academically, boasting a perfect 4.0 GPA—while also sinking the championship-clinching putt at the ACC Tournament. Fullbrook posted an impressive 3.95 GPA, while Williams matched Woad with a 3.75, and Ting added a solid 3.35.
This marks just the third time in school history that five or more Seminoles have made the All-ACC Academic Team, previously achieved in 2015 and 2017. The record still stands at six, set in 2015.
Woad, a three-time All-ACC Academic selection, has set a high bar both on the greens and in the classroom. Ting, who was also named the consensus national golfer of the year and the 2025 ACC Golfer of the Year, earns her second All-ACC Academic selection, while Williams also collects her second. Gazzoli and Fullbrook each receive their first, already proving themselves to be future stars in every sense.
With academic honors matching athletic dominance, the Seminoles women’s golf team has firmly cemented its place as one of the most complete and elite programs in the country—a powerhouse of brains and birdies.
