One of the notable prospects showing keen interest in Auburn is 4-star tight end Xavier Tiller from Langston Hughes High School in Fairburn, Georgia. Standing at 6-foot-5, Tiller has been a standout performer, recording 25 receptions for 352 yards and seven touchdowns in his sophomore year. His impressive route-running and blocking abilities have garnered attention from over 25 programs nationwide.
Tiller has expressed a strong affinity for Auburn, stating, “I love Auburn. I like the environment. Just how they come up and talk to me. Make me feel like I’m at home.” His relationship with tight ends coach Ben Aigamaua has been particularly influential. During a recent visit, Tiller appreciated the coaching insights he received, especially in refining his blocking techniques. He mentioned, “He taught me something new. My blocking skills, he taught me not to lean, I really liked that.”
Auburn’s welcoming atmosphere and the personal attention from the coaching staff have positioned the Tigers favorably in Tiller’s recruitment. Initially committed to Michigan in April 2024, he flipped his commitment to Auburn in August 2024, highlighting the Tigers’ persuasive recruiting efforts.
Marshall’s decision underscores Auburn’s growing appeal to top defensive talents. His commitment adds to an already impressive lineup of defensive recruits for the 2025 class, including five-star Malik Autry and four-stars Antonio Coleman and Jourdin Crawford.
