In a thrilling overtime showdown on February 1, 2025, the No. 6 University of Houston Cougars faced a formidable challenge from the No. 22 Texas Tech Red Raiders, culminating in an 82-81 defeat that snapped Houston’s impressive 13-game winning streak and marked their first home loss in over two years.
