MILWAUKEE, WI — July 1, 2025 — In one of the most jaw-dropping moves of the NBA offseason, Indiana Pacers legend Myles Turner has officially signed a four-year, $107 million deal with the Milwaukee Bucks, ending a decade-long era of defensive dominance in Indiana.

Turner, 29, had become the heart and soul of the Pacers franchise — a shot-blocking machine, team leader, and fan favorite who represented consistency in a league full of movement. But after 10 seasons anchoring the paint in Indianapolis, the versatile big man is heading north, joining a Bucks squad hungry to return to championship form.

“I’ll forever be grateful to Indiana,” Turner said in a farewell statement. “The fans, the city, the culture — it shaped me. But it’s time for a new challenge.”

Turner leaves behind a legacy that’s hard to overstate. He ranks among the Pacers’ all-time leaders in blocks, rebounds, and games played, and is widely regarded as one of the best rim protectors of his generation. He earned two All-Defensive Team selections during his Indiana tenure and helped guide the team to multiple playoff appearances — including their historic run to the 2025 NBA Finals just weeks ago.

His move to Milwaukee creates a seismic shift in the Eastern Conference. Paired alongside rising star Giannis Antetokounmpo, Turner gives the Bucks a defensive anchor they’ve lacked since the departure of Brook Lopez. And with his improved three-point shooting, he adds spacing and versatility to a frontcourt that could be absolutely lethal.

Back in Indiana, fans are already pouring out tributes on social media. Many are calling it “the end of an era,” while others salute Turner for giving his prime years to the city and leading with class, heart, and hustle.

As for Turner, he’s focused on new goals: “I’m here to win. Milwaukee believes in me — and I’m ready to go get that ring.”

Pacers fans may be heartbroken, but one thing’s certain — Myles Turner’s legacy in Indiana is etched in gold.

🏀 From the House of Blocks to the Deer District — Turner’s next chapter begins now.
